Nothing · expect it only is right for anything that also arrives on its own: a card charge, ad spend, a subscription. We watch for the real transaction, link it, and flag it when the amount drifts. Use this whenever the charge will show up in a bank feed, or you'll count the spend twice.
An A/P bill when you owe someone and it should sit in Accounts Payable until you pay it. A direct expense when the money has already gone and there's no bill to track.
Once it posts something, When it comes due decides whether Run due does it for you or leaves it sitting here with a Post it now button.
